What is Network Marketing?

There is a wise saying that your network will determine your net worth.
This saying never made much sense to me until I started network marketing.
According to investopedia.com, Network marketing is a business model that depends on person-to-person sales by independent representatives, often working from home.
To me, network marketing is the art of getting paid to recruit persons into the business of recruiting people and making sure they also get paid for doing the same.
What are the types of Network Marketing?

The major types of network marketing include the following
Single-Tier Network Marketing(Affiliate Marketing)
With single-Tier Network Marketing, which is popularly known as affiliate marketing, you sign up for a company's affiliate program and help them sell their product or services through a unique link that will be assigned to you once you join their affiliate program.
Here you don't need to recruit other distributors and all your commission comes from sales that you have made. Click Bank affiliate program is a very good example of a single Tier Network marketing program.
Some online affiliate programs will even pay you for the traffic you drive to their website. Pay-per-lead (PPL) and Pay-per-click (PPC) affiliate programs are other good examples of single-tier network marketing.
I will be writing more on affiliate marketing and CPA marketing in another article but for now, let's stick to the topic for today, which is still network marketing. The second type of network marketing is double-Tier network Marketing or Two-Tier Network Marketing.
Double-Tier Network Marketing.
Double-Tier Network Marketing, Unlike single-tier Network Marketing, involves the recruitment of new marketers, as well as direct sales. You also get a percentage commission for sales made by your recruits an ideal example of Double-Tier Network marketing is Fiverr Affiliates on Fiverr you earn each time your recruits earn, and you also earn for referring customers to Fiverr.
I won't fail to mention the last but not the least form of Network Marketing Known as Multi-Level Network Marketing.
Multi-Level Network Marketing
Multi-Level Network Marketing(MLM) is arguably the most profitable form of network marketing.
Here you do not only get paid for selling products as an affiliate or driving traffic to a company's website, you get paid for recruiting and also get paid when your recruits and their recruits after them make money for making sales or recruiting people too.
Sometimes it is down to your third level downline while in some very special cases you earn from all your downline efforts.
A very typical example of a good multi-level network marketing platform is the almighty Forsage smart contract, the first-ever decentralized self-executing multi-level network marketing platform that is based on Blockchain technology it deals with three different crypto coins known as BUSD, ETHEREUM, and TRON each of this platform does not depend on humans for payments. Forsage is self-executing and hard-coded.
What are the requirements for a successful Network Marketing Business?
Network marketing if well practiced could become your full-time job. It is a business that pays off when you know what you are doing. There are certain skills that a network marketer must possess, in order to become profitable because just like in any other thing in life, practice makes perfect. In this section of my ultimate network marketing guide for beginners, I will be revealing some very key skills that one must have in order to be successful in the network marketing business.
Meet these requirements, and you will be worthy to be counted as one of the good network marketers of the 21st century, so without much ado, let me dive right into it. the very first requirement on our list is “Copywriting” although easily overlooked by greenhorn digital marketers, copywriting easily tops my list of requirements for profitable digital marketing.
- Copywriting: The importance of copywriting in any digital marketing business cannot be over-emphasized, and this is why I even had to take a paid course worth almost two thousand dollars on copywriting alone. Copywriting is the core of any successful marketing campaign, without copywriting you cannot effectively communicate your product to your target audience. I can go on and on about how important copywriting is, but first, let me define copywriting. According to Wikipedia, Copywriting is the act or occupation of writing a text for the purpose of advertising or other forms of marketing. The product, called copy or sales copy, is written content that aims to increase brand awareness and ultimately persuade a person or group to take a particular action. Copywriting requires you to understand how the human mind works, in order to be able to present your product in a way that your target audience is most likely to purchase it.
Copywriting on its own is a profession that has generated millions of dollars for those who take it as a career. - Demographic research: It is easier to sell fish to someone that is already into fish, than to someone that wants nothing to do with fish. Marketing has evolved over the years and it is not as basic as it used to be. There are lots of competitors out there and you cannot afford to wait for the right customers to discover you one day. You need to track them down and let them know you have what they want. You can track your ideal audience through research.
Yes initially you work with a cold audience(you don't know them and they don't know you), but through data collection from surveys and questionnaires, analytic companies, and press releases, you can have to a large extent, an Idea of your target audience and how they think.
This will go a long way in helping you prepare a readily acceptable sales copy that will very well appeal to them naturally.
It will make selling to them much easier because now all they need is a little push and confirmation since you are offering to them, what they are already interested in. - Traffic Source: After you must have determined who your ideal audience is, through demographic research, you must now drive targeted traffic to your network through an ideal traffic source.
An ideal traffic source is a traffic source with a high concentration of your ideal audience.
It could be a blog, a tv station, a youtube channel, a search engine, an ad agency, or even a radio station.
As long as they help you reach a large volume of your desired audience, they are your ideal traffic source.
This also is a very important factor in network marketing and goes a long way to determine how successful your network marketing business will be. - Capture page/landing page: You will agree with me that Advertisements are very expensive and because of this reason, it is a very wise move to have a landing page also known as a bridge page or squeeze page that will be used to collect the email addresses of your leads. So that you can do a follow-up for any lead that does not immediately convert the first time.
You can easily send follow-up emails to them or even give them a call to find out what their challenge may be. You can do this using CRM(Customer Relationship Management) software.
The above are just a few things that will enable your Network Marketing business to become a success in no time. Hope this little article of mine has added value to you, please don't fail to leave me a comment below, I will love to get feedback from you on this topic.
